On raging moderates, Jess and I are stuck in the middle with you, and we're mad. Politics has changed in this country fast, and many in the media haven't kept up. The Republican Party has been overtaken by the MAGA movement. That's nothing new. I see it up close and personal every day when I'm on the five. Yeah, I hate this fucking script.

Anyways, so the bottom line is we're in the middle and everyone hates us.

But we love us.

Yeah, but we've decided that there's a reason why more people identify as moderates now or as independence.

And what I would say to our fellow moderate brothers and sisters, here's the bottom line.

Are you a critical thinker? Do you go issue by issue? And do you recognize that the majority of

America agrees on at least some reasonable sense of the majority of the issues? So if you want to

come together, come talk to Jess and Scott. We like to think of ourselves as reasonable.

I know that people identify as moderates are getting a lot of flack right now. I see that in every focus group, but you know, everyone wants a fighter or not a moderate, blah, blah, blah, blah. We're not mushy anymore. It doesn't work that way. Ruben Gallego is a moderate. John Ossuff is a moderate. Gavin Newsom is a moderate. It's not the dirty word that you think. Whatever survey you're looking at, people are upset about the extremes in our politics. Nobody likes the extreme left, the extreme right. They want some kind of consensus, but they don't want to give up the fight. And that's exactly where raging moderates lives. We rage against those extremes. Are we lefties? Definitely. Are we going to vote for Democrats? Yeah, we better win and buy big margins. But we're not nutcases. That is my solemn vow to you. And if you're a fucking algorithm, you're going to hate this show. The reason that we're telling you this is we're going five days a week. That's right. Every day, Jess is leveraging her contacts on the hill. I'm leveraging my profanity to bring you something that's both informative and entertaining.
