So we recorded a very excellent episode of newscast with John and Sally from BBC Breakfast and the

science secretary of state Michelle Donovan about keeping children safe online and

that episode was ready to get published and it now is out in the wild and you should definitely

listen to it but then just seconds before midday everyone's getting ready to

watch prime minister's questions me on my laptop you in the house of commons

what happened well yeah here we are with our second newscaster the day,

and we're normally six hours shy of doing our first one.

So there we were, there I was in the press gallery of the House of Commons,

looking down on the the chamber and

suddenly on the beat of midday a WhatsApp flies round with a long statement from

Natalie Elphick Conservative MP for Dover, saying that she's joining the Labour Party.

And I looked down and I could see just behind Kia Starler, there she was.

In what's known as the dough nut around the leaders,

in other words, the seats that you have to sit in

to appear on the telly when your boss is stood on their feet

saying their thing.

Then there's a few questions and

answers and back and forth. Up stands Kia Starmer and with a blast of theatre he
