Breaking news, Matt LaFleur is back with the Green Bay Packers, and he has signed or is

going to be signing a long-term extension.

Multiple reports Ian Rappaport, Adam Schaefter, Rob Demovsky was sort of the big one that says that this is not a short-term, prove-it sort of deal.

From Rob, quote, Matt LaFleur will return as the Packers head coach per sources.

He is signed to a multi-year contract extension that a source said is, quote, Matt LaFleur will return as the Packers Head Coach per sources. He is signed to a multi-year contract extension that a source said is, quote, not a

prove-it deal, but a real commitment.

New deals for GM Brian Gutikens and VP Russ Ball are also in the works.

So I'm sure this is a polarizing topic for a variety of different people that Matt LaFleur is back,

that he's signing a long-term extension, that this is not some sort of short-term

prove-it deal, that this is a legitimate long-term investment into Matt LaFleur, which means

that he goes into this season, really not on the hot seat at all you're always on the

hot seat as a head coach uh to be fair but it would take something assuming that this is the contract

i expected to be if it's a four or five year extension worth you know probably 15 to 18 million per

year uh it would be very difficult to relieve matt lefleur of his duties after this year unless

again it was something catastrophic, lost the locker room, whatever, right? So Matt LaFleur looks like he is
