All right, ladies and gentlemen, this is your very groovy and smooth news update for the day. We've got a little breaking news here.

Wide receiver Jaden Reed and the Packers now have agreed to a three-year contract extension

worth 50.25 million in new money, including 20 million guaranteed per agent's Drew Rosenhaus

and Ian Grutman. I don't know why this stupid

volume thing just keeps going down. I apologize. So here's the deal. First of all, very happy

with it. Again, we've got, in my mind, this is very straightforward. We got a bunch of guys about

to get paid. It's just a question of how good of a deal can we get on these.

We don't know the exact structure of it, but everybody seems to go to just the average as the explanation of what exactly he got paid.

Well, just based on that, assuming, you know, if we were to say it's fully guaranteed, we're looking at $16.75 million. That is unbelievably reasonable. So, I mean, you got to think about the Packers are looking at this, and we'll get to this in a minute, but the Packers are looking at this in terms of, okay, we've got to pay Tucker, we got to pay Christian, we got to pay Jaden, and at some point down the road, we're going to have to pay Golden, but that's quite a ways down the road. We got to figure out how to lock all these in. If you have a deal for Jaden Reed for $16.75 million a year, even assuming it were fully guaranteed, which it isn't, but let's just pretend it is for a minute, and that none of this is fake money.

I don't know how you don't immediately lock that down, which is probably why they did.

It seems entirely random.

I thought Christian was getting paid.

I thought Tucker was getting paid.

Why are we paying Jaden?

This seems what a, because they're excited to lock him down for this price.

They have to figure out how to get everybody paid. Now,

what does this tell us? Number one, the idea that Jaden Reed is going to be gone or they're not

sure about Jaden Reed or he's going to walk out of the door or whatever nonsense is officially

put to bed.
