Starting the podcast today with what we call in the trade a post-production edit.

I'm adding this to the beginning of the podcast because it was a podcast of breaking news throughout.

So you'll hear Tommy and I today as we were getting the news about Nats Mets postponed, about Roy Williams retiring, about some of the things

that Ron Rivera was speaking about in his Zoom conference call with beat reporters. At times here,

early in the podcast, it'll sound like we don't know anything about it, but we find out as we

were recording it and we respond to it in the moment.

So enjoy the podcast today, by the way, a reminder that I did not do one yesterday,

but I will have a podcast sort of make-up for Wednesdays-no podcast on Saturday.

We've got a lot to talk about, including the fact that it is opening day.

It'll be awfully cold in that ballpark tonight, Tommy, for the 5,000 season ticket holders that will be there. By the way,

did you know that they're going to re-raise the banner tonight for the 5,000 in attendance?

Well, as well they should. I think they should re-raise the banner every time they get to up the capacity until they get a full house. Well, why not just wait until it's a full house?

I think they should do it a half a dozen times because 2020 didn't happen, at least in my mind.

As far as I'm concerned, they're still a defending champs.

I'm sort of with you. I mean, they're not the defending champs. The Dodgers are.

I know that. But beyond that, you know, last year was a weird year and they didn't have a chance to play a real season as defending champion.

My only issue is, you know, these 5,000 season ticket holders, probably among their wealthiest season ticket holders.

I don't know. Did they do it by lottery? Maybe they did.
