Well, we've got an update for you on the story of the crash involving former chief's assistant coach Britt Reid and the little girl, Ariel Young, who remains hospitalized in Kansas City. This happened just a couple of days before the Super Bowl, as you remember. And young Ariel's lawyer, Tom Porto from here in Kansas City, is now speaking out. He did an interview on Good Morning America this morning, and we're going to play that in its entirety for you coming up in just a moment. Let me give you the headlines

here of what you're about to hear before I play it because context matters. Context always

matters in these things. This is a national broadcast. A lot of people seeing it. It's very down. It's a dire,

very dark story. Very, it's a bummer. But it's also real life. And they will describe for you

it will be permanent. They believe that she will be in a wheelchair for the foreseeable future.

She is not communicating and speaking. It's pretty hard to have a very serious, violent brain injury that leaves you in a coma for 10 days.

And then you awaken for that and you're just normal. That's maybe stuff of the movies.

So this is going to be a long, hard road in Porto. And this says they want to prosecute Britt Young to the fullest extent of the law.

They want to go for felony DUI charges.

the chiefs are working to resolve this and they want to get a resolution to this matter.

To me, that sounds like a lawyer that wants to settle something, but he is a trial lawyer.
