Summary

The government shutdown continues, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (NY) believes "every day gets better" for his party. Democratic Senators Chris Van Hollen (MD) and Gary Peters (MI) plan to present two bills that counter Republican Senator Ron Johnson's (WI) proposed bill to pay "excepted" federal employees. The Sekulow team discusses Day 23 of the government shutdown, Senate Majority Leader John Thune's political strategy, the Trump Administration's response to the battle on Capitol Hill, the ACLJ's legal work – and much more.
