podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. Join as always my calls, Nick Falado, and we have a new head coach of the New York

Football Giants, Mr. John Harbaugh, Super Bowl winning John Harbaugh, most division, or most road

playoff winning John Harbaugh, and now one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL,

according to Adam Schepter and Jordan Shultz. And in addition to being made one of the highest

paid coaches in NFL history by the New York football giants, he is also going to be given,

quote unquote, a hefty budget to hire out the staff he wants. So for anyone who has ever

criticized John Mara and acted like the family is the reason the Giants think, you may be right, you may be wrong. We don't really know. It's a lot of speculation. One thing I know is when push came to shove and he had to step up and this ownership had to step up, they said, F it. We're going full court press. We're making him the highest paid coach in NFL history.

We are also going to give him the budget to hire the staff he needs to ensure that he can create the program he wants. And we're not going to let him leave. We're going to send Eli Manning out there. We're going to have him give him a call. We have Tom Coughlin give him a call. Every legend we pulled out. The Giants just went all in on this coach.

And for good reason, Nick, according to me and my perception of the coaching search,

he was by far and away the best candidate i could not be more excited we'll get into a little bit of why in a bit but i want to get your take first were you on the same boat of it was pretty much harball or bust at this point i wouldn't say hardball or bust but that's who i wanted i wanted john. Here's my clear cut number one coach. I would have been okay with a coach like Kevin Stefanski or something, right? Like there are other names out there that weren't as bleak as the original names that we were reporting on about like six or seven weeks ago. When we're like, hey, it might be like Matt Nagy or Arthur Smith. It might be something like that now so it it wasn't exactly that type of situation. But overall, man, I wanted John Harbaal to sign when he was at MetLife or when he was just in the area earlier today. I heard that he left and I was like, you know what? Maybe he's just exploring his options with Tennessee and we'll see with Atlanta since Matt Ryan got the job to be the president of football operations or whatever the hell he's doing down there. He's just doing his due diligence. And then we got the Schefter bomb. And I think it was actually Paul Schwartz who had it first. If I'm not mistaken. I'm sorry if I don't have that correct. But either way, ecstatic over the moon. So glad that we get to come here and discuss this all with our with our fans and

look dude this it you don't want to put the cart before the horse but with little wins like this

this is exactly what we need we have just been eating a shit sandwich of depression for so long

the giants need wins and that they do have a young nucleus of talent you have jackson dart on a

rookie deal showed a lot of promise in his rookie season.
