So, I came here really for relationship advice.

I'm currently in a relationship and it's just, it's really, really not going well with

this guy.

Yes, and why is that?

Well, there's a lot of things.

It seems to be that he's very heteronormative, he's extremely patriarchal.

We're actually moving, I decided to move in with him and I was moving stuff from my apartment,

right?

And these boxes were somewhat heavy, whatever.

But he came over and he said, these boxes are too heavy for you to pick up, let me do it.

And I was just dumbfounded, I couldn't believe he said that.

Well, were you able to pick up the boxes by yourself?

I'm sure I could of, he didn't even give me the chance to do it.

He just said, you know, honey, I don't want to put you through that strain, let me do it.

Right, he sounds like he's just trying to help you.

Do you?

Do you think this is coming from a place of your own insecurity?

No, I don't think that at all.

It always seems like he's just trying to help me.

When we go to restaurants, he says, honey, I feel like you're not making enough money

right now, let me pay for your food.
