People kind of get on to victims about, well, why didn't you tell? Well, I just wanted to say that we often do tell and are blown off or not believed.

And then we're even more crushed and devastated because we know we're not going to be

believed or will be blamed.

What I did was the wrong thing in that I shut down and thought, well, no one's going to believe

me.

I'm not going to tell anybody else.

But you need to keep telling until you're heard.

Thank you for having me. Yeah, I'm really

excited to chat with you a little bit. I absolutely love your book. And one of the quotes that

stood out to me reading the book was, you said basically, I believe as children, we come in the

world with one question. It's really the only thing we desire to know. Am I valuable? Do I have worth?

And like adding stones to a scale, we observe and collect data, each hurt, each trauma,

adding a stone to our scale until it finally tips all the way and we have our answer.

Anything after that serves as confirmation. And reading that quote really stood out to me

because time and time again talking with people
