I'm going to introduce you to a friend of mine in a couple of minutes. But before that, just want to let

you know, we're landing this collection we've been in called astonishing. And if you've been around,

it's all about these two guys who were filled with the Holy Spirit, early days of the church,

began preaching the gospel of Jesus and the resurrection. And the Jewish religious authorities

didn't like that, tried to shut

them down. But they just preached all the more because God had healed a lame man and the testimony

of that healing was undeniable. Everybody knew God was moving in power. And Peter and John were

proclaiming the God who healed the man and proclaiming Jesus and proclaiming

the gospel and the authorities brought him in and said, hey, we want you to stop preaching about Jesus.

And they said, hey, you know, you can think it through, but for us, it's like, we don't obey God or do we obey you guys?

And they said, we've got to keep talking about what we have seen and heard.

And then these religious authorities, the temple leaders, the high priest even, they said about

Peter and John, when they saw their boldness, they were astonished.

That's where the series comes from.

When they saw the way they were preaching, they were astonished.

When they saw the way that they were proclaiming Jesus, even under were preaching they were astonished when they saw the way that they were

proclaiming jesus even under threat they were astonished they said because they knew that these

guys were ordinary and unschooled men the unschooled school and the schooled and they took note

that these guys had been with Jesus. And the hope of
