Well, as I said earlier, this is week two of a two-week series that we're doing on pornography.

And the reason that we're doing a series on pornography is because statistics would show that either you or someone you know is struggling with pornography. In a study of 800

college students that was labeled Generation XXX, it found that, or at least 87% of men and 31% of women reported using pornography

at some point.

I told you that last week.

Then the Barnagreb did a study in which they found that young adults between the ages

of 18 and 24 seek out pornography either daily, weekly, or monthly.

So what that means is either you or someone you know is most likely seeking porn out,

either occasionally or regularly. This is a subject that's really personal for me

because I've been porn free for 14 years now,

but from the summer before my freshman year in high school

till the summer before my senior year here at Texas A&M,

I would say that that seven-year period was a seven-year

addiction to pornography. And I use that word addiction. I use it myself. That's a word that I've

decided to apply to my own life. I didn't go to a shrink. No one, no one said, hey, you are a porn addict.

And when I use that word, I'm not trying to imply that I had some uniquely intense struggle

with pornography that other people didn't have. The reality is that during that seven-year period, there were different times that

I wanted to stop, and I just couldn't. That sounds a lot like an addict, and maybe that's where

you're at tonight. That seven-year period for me was packed full. It was packed full of failed
