Summary

Q: I have been caught in a cycle of using porn on again off again for most of my life. I'm truly wanting to break free of this struggle. What advice to you have for me, to help me break free? We're taking all your questions on our new ASK A COUNSELOR series!! We're doing this series because I wanted to introduce you to the Counselors from the Debra Fileta Counselors Network and get to know them the way I'm getting to know them! Today's question comes from Mike from Colorado, who wants to break free from his struggle with pornography.  Porn is everywhere, and the roots of why some people struggle with porn more than others run deep. Because porn use and sexual struggles are a reflection of something deeper - our need for connection. Our sexual struggles are often a reflection of a deeper need to connect in healthy ways. A deeper need to connect with God, self, and others. Today, I tag-team this question with Tony Hasaballa (BOOK A SESSION WITH Tony).  Tony is a pre-licensed counselor on our team, who is passionate about helping men and women heal from the struggle with both porn and/or sexual addictions. Tony talks about how sexual addictions are really an intimacy disorder, and we talk about what it means to get to the deeper issues that fuel our unhealthy and harmful behaviors. It's such an important episode. So tune in to today's episode on the Love & Relationships Podcast and follow the show by clicking on the button below!
