What are the details of the exciting mics breaking up?

Yeah, so Reed Blankenship is headed elsewhere.

He is going to the Houston Texans, as you reported.

It was a surprising move. It's something that you guys said could happen tonight as the safety

market started to dry up. And yeah, I mean, I will be honest that I was mildly surprised at what he

signed for. It was a three-year deal worth up to $24.75 million.

So that puts him around $8.3 million annual.

Yeah, it's a little bit lower than what I would have expected.

But I do think it's probably reflective of the fact that the Eagles are kind of ready to figure out what's next at that position.

This is a number, Fran, where it tells us, as much as the Eagles would like to be a little

bit tight, this is more of the Eagles didn't necessarily want the player back, I feel like.

This is not a number that they could not match.

Yeah, to me, this is one where they would have loved to be able to bring him back at a number

that worked for them.

And the fact that they weren't even willing to go to this spot is honestly, frankly,

it's pretty surprising, right?
