All right. All right. What's up, everybody. Welcome into the latest OBR film breakdown.

It is the edition where the Cleveland Browns got involved in the 2024 NFL draft. Picks were a little spaced out. So it was a little tough to kind of sit 20 picks, get a pick and then 20 more picks and get a selection. I'll start with this, Andrew Spade, who joins me tonight on the show here. I'm happy to have them, obviously, is they didn't move off of either pick. And as a part of sort of the pre-day two

0:44.8

discussion, pretty popular talking point because of A, their history and B, sort of the gap that

0:51.3

we're going to be really sort of witnessing here when we get into day three,

0:54.8

which is 85 to 156, which is a massive amount of selections to sit through and wait

0:59.7

and to see sort of who the Browns can select at 156.

1:02.9

So the no trade thing, interesting, Andrew Barry says they did get some calls.

1:10.0

And I don't know, so something like upward of 20 calls he's

1:13.1

the idea as we understand it and decided that ultimately it didn't make sense for them to move

1:18.8

off that pick and we'll talk about the my call selection here in a minute but are you surprised

1:22.7

they didn't move off of either of these I am my expectation coming into the draft was that they would be more

1:29.7

active. Obviously, that can still happen on day three, but you're not really going to create an asset

1:35.2

of significant value at this point, right? Because your most valuable trade asset at this point,

1:43.2

other than if they were to trade a player for a fourth round

1:45.6

pick, is 156, which is a late fifth. I think if the Browns combined their four remaining

1:51.8

picks into tried to move up as far as they could, they could probably get into the fourth round.

1:57.0

So would you rather make four picks or one pick in the fourth round and then call it a draft?

2:03.0

That's kind of where we're at. I just don't at this point, if they didn't move off of 54 or 85 down

2:08.5

to pick up additional assets, they're just not in a position to be able to create much at this point.

2:14.8

And so now it just becomes a question of, do they sit and pick with those four

2:18.2

picks or do they try and spin something into the future? Or maybe there's a trade for a player. You can

2:23.0

never rule that out, I suppose. I think that stuff does tend to break loose on day three for the most part.
