Welcome back everyone to the Grace Curly show.

We are going to take a break from politics for this segment to talk about a huge update on the

Karen Reed front. Today news broke that Karen Reed is appealing two of the three charges in the Massachusetts Supreme

Judicial Court in the death of her boyfriend John O'Keefe.

Joining us to talk about this is attorney Mark Bettero. Mark, I obviously have a lot of questions for you about it. Mark Betero.

I obviously have a lot of questions for you about it, but first, give us your reaction to this

news and kind of explain to people what's happening.

Well, it's expected.

They indicated that they were going to appeal this they filed the

appeal

apparently yesterday and uh... now it's before the highest court in the state

and they'll have to determine whether they find a basis to either deem an acquittal on those two counts or at a minimum send it back for fact finding to determine if more evidence needs to be taken and send it back to the trial

for it to make a new determination.

So it's an interesting development.
