In today’s intensely competitive markets, most business leaders recognize the imperative to innovate. But that recognition doesn’t always lead to results. Many companies still struggle to deliver meaningful innovation — something that adds value to their customers.

| 0:35.6 | So when I talk to people about innovation and ask what they mean by innovation, I hear a variety of answers such as improving something, creativity, |
| 0:44.3 | innovation means change, innovation is doing something new or it's experimental community. |
| 0:49.3 | So you see people think of innovation in a lot of different contexts. |
| 0:52.3 | I personally would like to define innovation as |
| 0:55.5 | creating something new that generates tangible value to the intended audience. Or in a simpler way, |
| 1:01.7 | innovation is about creating something new that either saves time or efforts or costs or more |
| 1:07.8 | importantly opens up new markets or opportunities for people and companies. |
| 1:12.2 | So here we need to focus on two aspects. |
| 1:14.8 | One is new and the tangible value because both are extremely important for that to be |
| 1:19.4 | qualified as innovation. |
| 1:20.7 | If it is not new and if it is not bringing tangible value, I would prefer to call it as, |
| 1:25.7 | I wouldn't prefer to call it as innovation. They would rather |
| 1:28.5 | be improvements or experiments or simply creative ways of doing things. And I think most innovation |
| 1:33.9 | companies or innovative companies that you can think of right now have been successful because |
| 1:38.4 | they have been able to build innovation as a culture of the organization. Yeah, it's definitely |
| 1:43.6 | something I guess every company is pursuing at the moment. |
