| 0:00.0 | Belway football on location in Ashburn. |
| 0:03.0 | So what do we learn from rookie minicam? |
| 0:05.0 | Let's have a podcast to find out. |
| 0:07.0 | What up everybody? It's Belway football, J.P. Finley, Mitch Tishler. We're out here in Ashburn. |
| 0:37.6 | We got to watch Wicke Minicamp. We've done this a number of years, and you really don't want to take too much out of it, right? Like these are six draft picks, nine undrafted free agents and then a bunch of tryout players. But damn, Sonny Stiles is fast. Talk about a guy who stands out on the football field. Totally, dude. |
| 0:38.0 | Size, |
| 0:38.4 | totally. |
| 1:14.4 | He stands out walking down the stairs from the building to the practice field. He sounds like such an adult and such a man in the room. And I think you just watched him out there and he was in the right places at all times. You saw him taking the first reps with all the linebackers. He wanted any pass over the middle. He was in position to blow people up. He even kind of hit a dude, and they called him off. And the best is like Ken Norton, Ken Norton, who if you watched him play, you know the level of psychotic he was on the football field, having to like pretend to yell at him about kind of putting a shoulder into somebody. It was an awesome moment. Because you know the coaches hate that if they get it too physical. But also, they love it. Right, right, right. |
| 1:12.5 | Exactly what they were. yell at them about kind of putting a shoulder into somebody. It was an awesome moment. Because you know the coaches hate that if they get too physical. |
| 1:12.8 | Right. |
| 1:26.3 | Also, they love it. Right, right, right. Exactly what they want to see. There were a couple balls that were, what we used to call hospital balls. Sure were. You could have seen Sonny just completely take a guy out. It was impressive watching him out there. I mean, you know, there's no contact. They're running around in helmets, snow pads. |
| 1:28.4 | Cool seeing the new Amanda. |
| 1:29.3 | Yeah, new helmet looks good. |
| 1:29.9 | That was great. |
| 1:28.4 | But really, I mean, you know, there's no contact. They're running around in helmets, snow pads. Cool seeing the new commander. |
| 1:29.3 | It looks good. |
| 1:44.2 | That was great. But really, I mean, you know, one of the things you always look for at camp is guys that stand out. And Sunny Styles was absolutely that guy. Like number seven overall pick, super freaky athletic combine numbers. You saw that. Yeah. Right. And I think David Aldridge, I remember when they drafted Jaden, all DA kept saying is like, just show me something why they drafted you. And it's rookie minicam and there's no pads, but like you saw why they drafted him. It was plain as day. And you saw that with Antonio Williams. Sure. I agree. I mean, on the outside, granted, you know, again, no contact, but both the skill guys, it's more of a real look. |
| 2:02.2 | Right. In both the seven on seven and 11 on 11, you saw crisp routes. You saw the quickness. |
| 2:07.4 | He caught. I don't think he dropped the ball. I saw. I don't think so either. saw him and not was he just not only was he just catching them but you saw the hands catches it wasn't |
| 2:14.7 | bobbled like you saw the strength in the hands i liked what i saw from him out there yeah me too um |
| 2:19.5 | going down joshua josephs the hands catches. It wasn't bobbled. Like you saw the strength in the hands. I liked what I saw from him out there. |
| 2:18.5 | Yeah, me too. Going down, Joshua Joseph's, he had that one pass rush. He lined up on the right side, showed some really good bend. He was fast off the snap. And he prides himself on his speed and his arms and his hand fighting. But I was impressed by the bend off the edge. and I know that's part of the edge rushing package |
