Beyond and Hello everyone my name is Jonathan Dormbush and this is podcast beyond episode 712 of IGN's weekly PlayStation show covering all the latest and greatest in the world of PlayStation until they announce things that we then have to catch up with next week but it happens anyway.

0:25.0

I of course am your host for this week. Lucio Brian is currently still off in New Zealand. I assume hanging out in Hobbiton as everyone does when they go to New Zealand even if they're from there.

0:37.0

Max meanwhile is hanging out on Dagobah naturally learning from a Jedi master and Brian is making his way through Italy trying to find the perfect pizza recipe.

0:46.0

But we still have an amazing show for you this week. I'm joined by Mark Medina. Hello. Yeah, I just realized this cast is we've assembled a cast of characters haven't we?

0:56.0

I mean, I'm including myself. This is this I'm with two people. I've never podcasted with this is great. Look you're one half of the carpool crew, but I think even without the other half I'm really excited to have you back on this week.

1:08.0

We're also joined for the first time on beyond by Taylor Liles Taylor. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you for having me. I just realized I wear glasses, but I put my context in right before we started recording and now I feel like the odd person out because I'm like glasses.

1:21.0

Well, our our fourth cast member Tom Marx is also not wearing glasses unless he put them on midway through the show just to surprise us all.

1:30.0

No, I won't. Hello, though. Fair enough. Hello, Tom. Good good to have you with us as well this week. Of course, you know, before before the show started recording, I do need to warn everyone. Of course, we were heavy into PC gaming talk. So I don't know what's going to happen from here.

1:45.0

You know, I'm a little concerned. This is going to become the PC cast. We'll see what happens. Probably not going to talk too much about the steam deck, but you never know with with this wonderful crew. But no, I'm excited to get into we have a lot to talk about this week.

1:59.0

Just a very quick update that I put into the run the show before we start recording because of course PlayStation dropped a little bit of news this Wednesday morning as we're recording today.

2:09.0

So we're going to be filming the ghost to sushi mode legends new content that'll be coming with directors cut, which is out on August 20th.

2:17.0

So there'll be a new mode where essentially two teams of two are competing to fight against different or waves of enemies and sort of there's sort of competing against each other, but not fighting each other directly.

2:30.0

So a few other updates about new additions to legends mode, some cosmetic additions, a new difficulty for the raid, I believe, and also the fact that they are going to make legends available standalone on both PS4 and PS5 for $20 starting on September 3rd.

2:48.0

So this is of course previously been available for free to all ghost to sushi mode owners and will still be the case with the directors cut and going forward if you have ghost to sushi mode, you get access to legends.

3:00.0

But you can also purchase it standalone if you're not interested in one of the best open world games of the last generation.

3:07.0

You can still get their really cool multiplayer experience. I actually don't know if any of the three of you have played much of legends I personally haven't as well. I'm Andrew go far please don't be mad out me out there, but I'll get to it when the directors cut us out.

3:23.0

I think it's really cool to continue seeing the support that they've shown for this mode for something that this is, excuse me, sucker punches first multiplayer mode really so to see them really dive in to give this much support for to continue to be supported like this.

3:41.0

I think it's a really, really cool move on their part and it's really exciting to me. I don't know if any of you are legends fans Tom.

3:48.0

I'm not a little bit of it not a ton, but I have played a little bit of it and it is really cool. You know, this sort of thing reminds me.

3:55.0

I really like what's happened here because it reminds me of like.

4:00.0

It's kind of the antithesis of all the way a lot of multiplayer games get made nowadays where like a developer just is like, hey, we need a multiplayer thing where we need to compete with Overwatch or whatever the case may be and just sort of like.
