I am joined by Painter Sharpless, my everyday co-host, as well as Justin Ferguson of

SECCCCountry.com.

He wrote a story on SEC Country about him projecting the depth chart after the first

week of spring practice.

We're going to talk about the offensive side of the football on the podcast today.

Starting at quarterback, I mean, nothing shocking here. Jarrett said I'm Malik Willis, Joey

Gatewood. Yeah, nothing changing there. And last Saturday, there has been talk from some people

that aren't in Auburn, kind of like your national outlets, saying one of the biggest storylines for

Auburn this season, who's going to be the backup quarterback, which I always thought was kind

of crazy to begin with, because Malik Willis did such a good job last year, and he already

has a year under his belt. And Joey Gatewood, for all of his physical skills, it's still,

still a project. He's still got to have some time developing himself into a full-time

quarterback. And that shouldn't change anything. And what Gus Malzon said last Saturday,

kind of proved it. I mean, I don't expect any sort of battles. It should be Stidham Willis Gatewood.

It was kind of funny when Malzon was asked, is there a battle for backup quarterback?

He seemed surprised by the question in general.

Yeah, he just kind of paused for probably like three or four seconds.

I mean, he usually pretty quick to respond.
