As I've been saying for several months now, it is better late than never.

Kristen Cinema, the unpredictable senator from Arizona,

and the last remaining holdout stopping the

progress of the landmark inflation reduction act of 2022, can once again hold her head high and

retake her seat amongst her fellow Democrats, because late Thursday, she announced her support

of the bill, but not without compromises.

Democratic leaders agreed to drop a $14 billion tax increase on some wealthy hedge fund

managers and private equity executives that she had opposed for reasons known only to herself.

She is in a hugely powerful position.

Yet the one thing she's asking for while she is in the catbird seat is to leave the carried

interest loophole alone. Can you help us understand how that would serve anyone in the state of

Arizona, a complete hookup for private

equity titans. Who in Arizona would care about that? She also asked that changes be made to the

structure of the 15% tax on corporations that's included in the bill and a little cash money to help

Arizona deal with their current drought crisis and extreme fire conditions.
