To no one's surprise, former Chiefs Coach Britt Reed has been charged by Jackson County prosecutors

with recklessly causing serious physical injury

in a car accident on February 4th.

That obviously has been a couple, well over a couple of months ago now, since this occurred.

And many people were getting frustrated that thought Britt Reed was getting some sort of special treatment.

The, you know, the can was getting kicked down the road.

What's the delay? How is he going to get off?

What's the break going to be? And this is just such a devastating injury for this young Ariel.

I'll update that for you in a moment as to what her condition is and what she's going through.

It is such a devastating outcome, non-fatality outcome, just the worst possible nightmare situation for this family.

Britt Reid was going to have to be charged with something.

As you recall, he said at the scene that he'd had two or three drinks, it turns out,

according to the prosecution and the charges today, the blood alcohol level was 0.113, which is, I guess,

not outrageous. It's not uncommon for people to be 0.2 something in some of these accidents.

But the blood alcohol content was taken over two hours after the accident occurred. Police had to get

a search warrant and go to the hospital

and draw vials of blood from Britt Reed, who was in the hospital receiving treatment.

I does now learn that Britt Reed had emergency groin surgery, he complained of stomach pain,

and then had a surgery at the hospital that night, an emergency surgery to the groin area.

This is just a really, really, really bad situation.
