I'm Dave Kaben, one of the owners here at RotoViz.

Unfortunately, I am recording this podcast solo tonight because Curtis could not make it. He is tied up dealing with some things out at the hospital in Ohio. He will be back next week, though. And then another

unfortunate thing happened was I was talking with Sean Siegel before I was going to be recording

for the night. He asked what we're going to be recording

or what we're going to be talking on the show, mentioned that Curtis couldn't do it.

He offered to step in and he had 15 minutes in which he could talk to me.

He started asking me some questions.

He wanted to put me on the hot seat for this episode.

Unfortunately,

something went awry in that recording and I only have my side of the audio. So what I'm

going to present to you now is a very mixed up version of our conversation where I'm going to

outline the questions that Sean asked me. He gave some great commentary on things that I am not going to be able to include, but I will kind of summarize what his questions were and then play the responses that I provided. I am sorry, this is a less than optimal episode. I still think the information is going to be decent, though. We're just going to have to go with it.

All right, so I should probably start off by mentioning breakaway rush score.

We've talked about a number of times on the show, but in case you are newer, you haven't heard

before, breakaway rush score is a metric that I developed that looks at runs that a player

is breaking of a certain distance. I look at various thresholds like over 15, over 20, over 30,

over 40, over 50. I have found a way to blend those in the way that is the most predictive
