I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

You know this case that I'm going to feature today,

of course, Rachel Marin, and it's really a horrific case. Some of the cases that we cover on this channel really can get you, and this is one of them. And I would have thought, this occurred

in August of 2023. I would have thought, and I would have thought this occurred in August of 2023. I would have thought and I thought

at the time and I still think that there's definitely going to be an arrest in this case,

but it's taking a bit longer than I would have expected. And you cannot blame, I don't believe you can blame the police.

I think that they're working as hard as they can.

And there's sometimes just that one little break you need on a case to bring it to justice,

to bring this person, this animal to justice, you know. And so a new sketch

was put out by the police in the Rachel Morin case. And we ask, what took six months?

You know, us even in law enforcement say, why did it take six months to put out this sketch? We all remember

that's just part of the video of him walking out of that house where he committed some horrific

crime in California. And it's still not clear. It was a home invasion. It was a burglary. He assaulted

several people.

I think that one of the reasons they're being so tight-lipped,

I think it potentially was a sexual assault.

And they're keeping that part of it very quiet,

and that's, you know, two different law enforcement communities,

the L.A. police, and of of course the Hartford County Sheriff's Office,

they're communicating with each other, but they're respecting each other in regards to what they release and how much they release in this case. But you still, you know, we see this with a lot of cases.
