We were almost at the end of the year.

It is the last Friday of the year. I'm really excited today to be talking to a senior reporter from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the AJC. Please welcome to Marr Hallerman.

Hi. And hi, thanks for having me.

I am so excited to talk to you because you are also the co-host of an incredible

podcast for the Atlanta Journal Constitution called Breakdown.

And your other co-hosts, Bill Rankin, Shannon McCaffrey, I think it's a wonderful podcast, and recently you got to sit down with

district attorney Fani Willis and ask her some questions and tell me like the

overall feeling of the interview because I you know I've listened to this a couple times now it's an

incredible episode but the that's an award-winning series everybody should subscribe to

this podcast breakdown but she she started off kind of

Kurt and short, but she opened up by the end. What were your thoughts when you sat down with her?

Sure, by way of background, Breakdown has been around for 10 seasons and the first eight were hosted by my colleague Bill Rankin and it really started out as kind of your bread and butter true crime podcast.

But for season 9, Bill decided he wanted to delve into the Trump investigation here locally

in Fulton County, which I had been covering for a while.

So we partnered up and we spoke with Fannie Willis very early on in the reporting process for that season.

So spring of 2022.

And of course, she's been at the center of our lives

as we've been reporting on this investigation,
