This is now not just a war to help a, you know, a young democracy.

It is a war to take on Russia and it was pretty explicit in those comments the way.

And the US has been much, much more aggressive with weapons, with aid and with its rhetoric in the last, just in the last couple of days.

And especially, you know, so it's now much more of a, almost a proxy fight between the US and Russia going back to the old Cold War.

I thought that was a pretty strong statement from Elizabeth Miller, who is writer for the New York Times, has been covering the war in Ukraine this whole time.

That this is a much more aggressive stance we're taking in terms of it being us versus Russia.

And this is now a proxy war.

Her saying that doesn't, you know, automatically declare it being so, but that's an interesting take.

And for better or worse, I guess.

Yeah, it feels weirdly familiar for those of us who grew up in the Cold War as there were proxy wars, a plenty here and there.

And they didn't interrupt into a nuclear holocaust by the way.
