I don't know if you're like me, but creative ruts happened, right?

Nobody likes them, but let's face it, whether you're a professional, an amateur, aspiring,

somewhere in between, creative ruts happen.

It's a reality of sometimes whether you're staring at a

blank page or you, again, this could be something for your dream job or for the J.O.B. that you have

when you were forced to create on demand, it sometimes creates a little bit extra stress.

And sometimes that stress over time can

just put you in a bad spot, a bad headspace or where you feel you're questioning. And that

cultivates ultimately this rut where you're stuck. So in today's episode of the show,

I address this question. It's a call-in as a part of

the Daily Creative series, call in from Aaron. And he wants to know how to break out of creative

ruts and how to think about personal style. Now, without going too deep into the details, you can imagine anything that has to do with personal style is I'm a huge freak of nature as a proponent for developing. And I believe that developing a personal style is the single most important thing that you can do as a creator, entrepreneur,

or whatever it is that you aspire to be, to help propel the vision that you have for yourself.

And a lot of people are confused as to what personal style means. I mean that if I put a piece

of art in front of you, if I put a Jean-Michel Bosquiat painting

in front of you and you know anything about art history, you could recognize that and identify

it. To me, that is the dream. That is an objective of exploring your own experiences in life

and creating enough art such that you, A, develop that personal

style so that you're not asking, it's on the questions when you go to create. And B, ideally,

if you want to get hired to do this kind of stuff that you have a personal style that is recognizable

such that other people will be attracted to your work and will likely hire you for that thing. So it benefits
