0:17.0	My favorite is from the Nixon and Kennedy president.
0:19.0	Wait, so here's what happened.
0:20.5	During this part in US history, Nixon and Kennedy were running for president and about half the population watched the presidential debate on television and about half the population listened to the debate on the radio.
0:30.0	Everyone who watched the debate was sure that Kennedy won. And everyone who
0:35.4	listened to the debate was sure that Nixon won. And it was the first time where
0:38.7	there was discrepancy between the perceived winners. One sounded like a leader and one looked like a leader.
0:44.6	So Nixon sounded like a leader.
0:46.7	He had really good vocal power, but he looked like a loser.
0:50.3	And I hate to use that word, but he himself said in his memoirs, he believes he lost that entire presidential election based on the first few seconds of that debate.
0:59.0	First few seconds, he himself said that. Anyone who saw it went, oh no, no, no, no, this guy is not a winner.
1:08.2	And this was before they even spoke. So in the first 30 seconds of the debate,
1:13.2	neither of them speak.
1:14.0	You see them on camera.
1:15.1	And if you were watching, you saw, wow,
1:17.6	Nixon looks so weak.
1:19.7	And here's why.
1:20.6	What most people don't know is that Nixon had just injured his knee on the campaign trail.
1:25.0	He had been in the hospital for the week.
1:28.0	So he came in with a bandaged knee and a fever.
1:31.0	Kennedy had been tanning.
