When I was just a boy, my grandmother used to make something she called Angel Biscuits,

and let me tell you, they were heavenly.

I love bread.

I love bread of all types, and I think most people do.

When you think of bread, you think of something both pleasant and necessary.

Certainly, it's enjoyable to eat, especially with some preserves or butter, but it is necessary for life.

In fact, in scripture, bread was often representative of the substance that was needed to sustain life.

And so, with that in mind, we return to our study today of the amazing and strategic pieces of

furniture in the Old Testament, Tabernacle, and Temple, each of them pointing us to Jesus.

We are fully furnished.

We find all we need in Christ.

And today we come to the table, the table of showbread. Now, you'll remember in our study already,

we've walked through the outer courtyard. And in the outer courtyard, there were two pieces of furniture.

First, you have to come to the burnt altar, to the brass altar. That's where the sacrifice was

made. That's where the blood was shed. That's where the blood was shed.

That's where access was given.
