0:00.0	My students come to me all the time with all kinds of conundrums from theology, but they rarely
0:05.8	come up and ask the question, why does God save me?
0:09.3	It's almost a given.
0:10.5	Why wouldn't he save me?
0:12.1	Heaven wouldn't really be what it ought to be if I'm not there.
0:15.7	The only reason in the final analysis why you're a Christian is that the Father wants to honor the Son.
0:23.8	And from all eternity, he determined that the son's work would not be in vain and that he would
0:31.4	be the firstborn of many brethren. And so he determined not just to make salvation possible,
0:37.7	but God the Father from all eternity determined to make salvation certain
0:42.4	for those whom he has determined to give to his son.
0:52.7	Jesus is the bread of life. And while this is great news, wonderful news, as he declared this
0:59.6	truth in John chapter 6, some grumbled. And Jesus explained, why not all come to him? The bread
