Hello and welcome to episode 563 of BRB UK.

And it is a special episode.

It is yet another early episode because one, we have no Dan.

And two, we have the man called Rick. And we also have Tim. I should probably say, I'm playing a thumb

up for audio listeners, shouldn't I? Yes. The reason for such, the reason for such disarray in this week's episode of you getting an early episode and a shake-up of hosts, that would be because we have been to EGX over the Excel Centre in Londonian town, where a fun time was had by all.

Sometimes because of video games, sometimes because of the friends

we made along the way.

And today, we're going to talk about some of those games, not so much the friends.

But gentlemen, before we start, we'll start with you, Tim.

How did you find this year's EGX over at the Excel?

It was okay, I think, is the overall sort of take away from it.

I didn't think it was massively impressive in terms of size.

It does seem to be a bit sparser than it was last year, and last year was a bit sparser than it was before, you know, the pre-lockdown shows kind of thing,

in comparison to the pre-lockdown shows.

There was a fair bit there, but it felt like it still had a bit missing.

And I spoke to a couple of other people that said that the atmosphere at WASD was comparatively

nicer, even though it was on a slightly smaller scale.

It feels like WASD's on the way up and EGX is waning a little bit.

I'm hopeful that both can actually grow in future years, but with the absence of major

platform holders being namely Xbox and PlayStation,

and with a little slightly lackluster appearance from Nintendo, because they only had the one game they were showing there,
