Don't worry. We'll get to the facial hair in the whole bit.

But you're joining us, truth be told, on the day before July 4th in Chicago.

I want to start with one of the coolest things that I've seen this year.

Last night, you guys are celebrating a win over the Cubs. Yeah. And you've got a rookie pitcher out there, Michael Mercado.

Mm-hmm.

He ends up getting the dub.

Kyle Schwerber takes him and pushes him to the front of the celebration line.

Is that what Schwerber's all about, dude?

Yeah, you know, Schwerber, I mean, he's the leader of our team.

You know, he makes sure everyone, everyone's in the right place at the right time.

Everyone's ready to go for war.

And he was making sure that Michael got his spotlight.

And, yeah, he deserved it.

Got his first big league win when five innings won run and put us in a good chance to win a ballgame.

So, so we'll put him up there at the front.

He's, you know, it's been a few years since he's laced it up there in Chicago, but I suppose

when you break a 108-year drought, you're always going to be the dude in town.
