Congratulations are in order to Brandon Herrera, who won his election, his primary other day.

However, he didn't quite clear 50%, which means there is a runoff.

And a lot of people are framing this as though Brandon Herrera running as a Republican in Texas has forced a runoff.

Nay, I say Tony Gonzalez has forced a runoff as the loser of the election.

Now, the way it works in Texas is that you got to get at least 50% of the vote to secure the win.

And if you don't, they'll eliminate everybody else.

And then the two front runners compete to see who's going to get that final bump.

Brandon Herrera won.

Ken Paxton versus Cornyn going to a runoff.

Yesterday's Texas election was incredible.

It would be great if we got a more definitive win.
