Welcome back to Labelled. I'm your host, Matt Carter, and today's a special episode because as many times as Brandon Ebel has made an appearance on the podcast, it's usually in chunks and in response to other bands and things like that.

And today, I thought it would be good to go back and try to just talk to him in depth one-on-one in a deeper way. And very cool,

because I just went over to his house, sat down with him in the room and did this one live in

person. So it might feel a little bit different than a Zoom one. But it turned out really cool.

It gives you a profile of who he is on a more deeper level probably than we've had.

And he could be a little bit difficult to get to sit still and talk in depth. And I think we

achieve that. So hopefully you get a little bit of a deeper look at the person, Brandon himself,

some of his preferences, some of his background. And I think what is always interesting to me is

just the more in depth that can

get with somebody, the more you can see how they think. And to me, that's just what's

interesting is cataloging how interesting and impressive people think. So hopefully this

interaction will give you a deeper look into the mind of Brandon Ebel and a little bit more

of his personal history

and stuff like that because he's certainly been a huge influence on many many people it's hard

to underestimate how much he's influenced people given that we know how much these bands have

influenced people and that he has been behind the selection and promotion and identification

of that.

So, you know, as an executive producer, which I guess is the easiest way for me to describe

his skill.

It's the crossing between the business and the creative.

That's not necessarily what the term executive producer means, but Brandon has that ability to see the big

picture and zoom right into the creative on anything. And so that in itself is its own art form
