It's Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, I wrote down. That sounds about right. And my homes alone guests today are Brandon Collins, Laurie Kilmarden and Dan Van Kirk.

0:51.0

Hello. Hey, what's up everybody? Oh, good morning. Let's let's meet them individually and alphabetically. So, Laurie, you can hit this news button for a minute or two.

1:08.0

Brandon Collins is here. Welcome back, dude. Thanks for having me back, man. This is always a fun time.

1:15.0

Yeah, how it's been a little while, but you did an episode of which first started doing the Zoom shows, I think.

1:23.0

Yeah. And yeah, it was great to have you then. Great to have you back. What's what's new in the world of do you have a specific thing you're promoting right now?

1:36.0

Yeah, I got drunk black history or Halloween edition is on Friday, October 29th at caveat in New York City. It's going to be fantastic. You can get tickets at drunk black history.com.

1:47.0

We have a lot of fun things planned. Some that I think you're going to call us controversy.

1:52.0

Because we're now we're trying to do some things with candy man. That's going to be like a main theme this year. So excited about that. And then just cover a bunch of movie festivals for the media popcorn podcast.

2:04.0

And with it's Toronto to cover tiff Toronto International Film Festival. I'm covering New York Film Festival right now. So being able to see a lot of good movies and some nuts of it.

2:15.0

I think it's fun that when people bring up tiff, they often say right after saying tiff Toronto International Film Festival. It's like well, then why you can skip the tiff part altogether.

2:27.0

But it's always accessible. It does. You do always want to explain when you just mentioned tiff. It just says that's what has even talking about but then no, it's serious. It's the Toronto International Film Festival. It's not just some tiff.

2:42.0

Some just tiff thing out there. But yeah, that's very exciting that movies are opening up again. Have you already seen the new James Bond? Have you had time to die?

2:55.0

I did have some time to die. Apparently I needed a lot of it because that movie is almost three hours long. No, why? That's the thing. I saw a press conference two hours and 40 something minutes.

3:07.0

I will say I was actually very impressed by it. I'm a big fan of a Carrie Pongalaga. I always shit the bed on his name, but he directed the first season of true detective and be sent on nation. He did a fantastic job as the first American to direct the James Bond movie.

3:23.0

And I think it's a pretty good wrap up the Dale Craig's James Bond. They take some risks that I thought paid off and I appreciated. I know it's going to probably be controversial, but yeah, I thought it was pretty sad even though it was almost three hours. Everything is trying to be like in game.

3:38.0

Yeah, it's ridiculous. There's no reason. Just go ahead. We could have had two or three more Daniel Craig movies. That's what they make them an hour long. Oh, you know what? Bondal them as the many series and put it on streaming. And actually I do still hold out hope that the big screen you think is the place to see this one. Does it is it pretty spectacular?

4:02.0

I would say so yeah, I got to see an iMac screen of it and it was pretty double. All these movies I would say see in a theater like I saw a dude you only should see that in the theater. Like don't see that on HBO Max. It's just not going to be the same.

4:15.0

Well, any movie could be iMacs to be so close enough to the screen.

4:20.0

I think iMacs that's their motto. That's how they sell tickets. Thank you for being here and we'll talk to you in a bit about I know you're really caught up on movies. It sounds like so we'll see if you have something specific you'd like to recommend.

4:40.0

But in the meantime, let's say hello to our returning champion Lori kill Martin is here. Hello, Lori. Hi, let me tell you something what a fluke it was that I won any sort of contest on a movie podcast and I'm embarrassed for you that I'm here, but I am here.
