Summary

Donny breaks down the biggest brand wins and losses of the week. First, a brand down for ICE after a survey reveals 60% of recent arrests in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area involved people with no criminal record. Then it's a brand up for San Francisco, where new leadership is proving that tough-but-humane policing actually works — with major crimes dropping across the board and prosecutions skyrocketing. Plus, the emperor penguin gets a brand down as it's officially declared endangered due to climate change. Donny also weighs in on Hollywood making cigarettes cool again (a hard brand down), Nutella's genius move after a surprise space cameo, the return of the original American Girl dolls, and the dangerous Benadryl challenge sweeping TikTok. He also breaks down Gen Z's most bankable movie stars, the USPS stamp price hike, the dying art of cursive writing, the WNBA's explosive expansion, and why women outperform 80% of FBI agents in investigative skills. Plus, a news-you-can-use safety tip you'll want to hear before you cook dinner tonight. Thursday: Donny sits down with Billy Bush — don't miss it. Learn more about your ad choices. Today we'll be dropping that.

You'll hear this in a little while as I record it. And Thursdays we do our big, big brand interview. And this week, it's Billy Bush. Love Billy. He's got a lot to say about a lot of things. We're going to, we're going to a great conversation. We're going to air that on Thursday. Let's get right into the brands. First up, brand down for ice, always brand down for ice. But here's the interesting thing that ICE arrest, they did a survey in ICE made 20,000 arrests in D.C., Maryland and Virginia from the beginning of President Trump's second term, and 60% had no criminal record.

0:49.0

So once again, and those numbers change a little bit from area to area, but you're talking about two-thirds of the people that are arresting are people who have no criminal record whatsoever. And even

0:59.0

out of the 40% that do have criminal records, a lot of them are minor crimes. That includes

1:03.6

traffic violations. So I don't know how many are violent criminals, but certainly a much smaller

1:07.8

percentage of that. And unfortunately, they're deporting, you know,

1:12.8

AIDS and workers and, you know, teaching assistants and nurses

1:18.5

and people who are anti-to-a-community and landscapers.

1:22.7

And the good news is you're not seeing any more.

1:24.6

Obviously, ISIS pulled back.

1:25.8

You're not seeing any more of those horrible images that we saw. So, uh, bring that for us. Um, I don't know if there's a brand up or brand down. U.S. fertility rate hits a new low as teenage. Well, this is good. Teenage births fall. Uh, the CDC said, uh, roughly 3.6 million babies were born in the U.S. last year, a 1% decline from 2024.

1:46.0

This is from the National Center of Health Statistics.

1:48.0

This is the good news here.

1:49.0

This is the brand that the fertility rate of teenagers dropped no relief to its own low point, down 7% to 11.7 births for 1,000 female ages 15 to 19.

1:59.0

The teen rate has fallen 81% since its most recent peak in 1991. So that's

2:03.4

good stuff there. I'm just curious what's causing that to happen. One of the reasons fertility

2:08.7

overall is going down a study show that many couples are delaying parenthood because of economic
