I will kick us off in just a second, Mr. Cot, but it's always worth reminding our

listeners that, what is a buried treasure we are pitched music

from every direction all the time like a hundred emails a week at least not to

mention Facebook and social media dings. I keep them in a big old

folder I know you do the same when it's time to do one of these episodes I go through

them give them all the quick sample and then dive deeper to the ones that really caught

my ear. This is one of those, my first pick. It is a band called The Peeweze, P-E-A-W-W-W-E-P-E-A-W-E-P-E-P-E-E-P-E-E-P-E-E-P-E-E, because they are from a place that I would almost always rather be at any given moment, which is Italy.

They've been around a long time approaching 30 years, formed back in 1995 when they

were teens in the port city of Laspelia and I had to look it up where is

Laspelia midway between Genoa and PCC sounds good to me. It is always revealing to me how bands from far afield,

whether it's Sweden or Australia or in this case Italy, sometimes give us back the classic American garage rock sound
