Over the weekend, Dropbox released sort of like a preview beta experimental thing.

Beta that lasted about a day.

That allowed you to turn on two-factor authentication on your Dropbox

account. Just to quickly give you context for what two-factor authentication is, it basically

provides extra security for your accounts. Google has it, Facebook has it, now Dropbox has it,

and basically it's the idea is something you know which is

your password and something you have which in most cases with two-factor off right now it's

your phone so you use those two things every time you log in or at least the first time you

log in and sort of like verify that something is a trusted device and it's a much more secure way to go about doing

your stuff. Right. The idea being that if someone were to hack your passwords, like as seems to be

happening a lot lately, they still wouldn't be able to log into your account because they may have

your password, but they don't have the second key to get into your account, which is your phone.
