Let me get reaction to the big stories of the day from the one and only Charlie Roley, who is a political commentator, former special advisor to Michael Gave, I think.

is a TV producer and they grew up together in Aberdeen and some girl, he was sort of around

his teenage years and some girl went around to Michael Gove's house and said, I'm here to like

go for a walk with Michael and he shouted down from upstairs, no, I'm reading a book. And he's read a few books since then, isn't he? He has. He's an avid reader. But you're right, I have the title of Special Advisor to Michael Gray, but I have to say, I neither felt special or gave any kind of advice because he was brilliant. He knew what he was doing. aged 16 to 34 emigrated in the year to March, according to the Office

for National Statistics, accounting for two-thirds of all departing Britons. I'm absolutely down

with pensioners leaving and heading for the sunshine of Andalusia in southern Spain. It's a deep

worry when 20 and 25-year year olds are leaving our shores.

Yeah, you're absolutely right.

And why are they leaving?

Because they know if they stay in the UK, if they have a job or able to make any kind of progress through their careers,

they're going to get tax.

They're going to get clobbered with income tax, whether it's through increase in pay through their career,

climbing the career ladder. But they're getting dragged into the higher rate of tax or through that tax threshold.

So income tax itself might not be going up, as the Chancellor said, that she wasn't going to do.
