I'm going to start every episode with a little intro from me, asking what have we all learned this week?

Because you know what? We're trying to learn.

And sometimes it's hard, sometimes it's uncomfortable, but we're learning, honey.

So I'm going to start the episode with what I've learned this week.

And obviously I encourage the honey's to do their own work as well.

But what have I learned this week?

I have learned that man, we got a lot of work to do, honey.

I have had some hard conversations this past week with friends, family members, etc.

Who truly have had a lot of protective barriers up in their mind that has been protecting them

from considering that they might be a part of the systemic racism that exists in our country.

And I understand that's hard to hear.

We have always white folks benefited from this system.

And we haven't had to address it, which is why it's perpetuating the problem.

And that's hard to hear.

And I've had some defensive conversations with some people.

And I understand that because that's our natural instinct is to be defensive.

But honey, this is a hard truth.

Privilege, yeah, it's privilege that we have and had to address this in our own lives.
