Your listening to Fox sports radio. Could have been a long weekend for a lot of you. I know many people listening right now you're either on your way into work.

You may have had all sorts of issues with what the status of your job is. As it has been a tumultuous last couple of weeks. We are here to hopefully make your Monday a little bit better than it otherwise would be thanks for hanging out with us here on out kick.

As we move through the NFL. A lot of the free agency activity has now taken place I would argue with you.

That the most intriguing single player who is still effectively a free agent is Cam Newton.

We have no idea what's going to happen with Cam Newton whether there is going to be a job that is open for him whether he is going to have interest in potentially having to compete for a starting job and or being a backup.

Cam's situation is I believe the most intriguing in all of the NFL because you're talking about a guy who won a high is a trophy who won an national championship who went to the Super Bowl the year that he won an MVP.

And now at the age of 31 years old it could be that because of his health status and the way he has played for the last several years there isn't any job that makes the most sense for him.

The New England Patriots ironically enough given the stability that they've had at the quarterback position for basically the last 20 years are of all of the teams out there the only real NFL franchise right now within opening position for a quarterback a starting position they have made a couple of moves to kind of bolster their overall depth.

But in general the Patriots have not let you know in any way the decisions that are coming for them so this is going to be a really big decision for Bill Balecheck also Cam Newton these are two of the big stars of the league remember guys it wasn't very long ago that Cam Newton was playing in the Super Bowl out in the Bay area against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

And the talk was that Cam Newton was going to be the new face of the NFL. He was the MVP his team was 17 and one they were a touchdown favorite over the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning and the Denver Bronco defense Von Miller leading the charge showed up and absolutely dominated against this Carolina Panther team.

And so as a result everything has essentially been downhill for Cam Newton since that moment in San Francisco in the Bay area where the Super Bowl that was supposed to crown Cam Newton as the new face of the NFL everything is falling apart form.

And so what is going to happen with Cam Newton that is what I would say is maybe the number one overall story that is out there in the NFL right now couple of other interesting story lines what in the world is going to happen with James Winston he posted a good buy to Tampa area NFL fans where is he headed now as Tampa Bay fans almost immediately turned the page on him and start to rejoice in the excitement of having a chance to play the game.

And so having Tom Brady as their new starting quarterback nobody seems really that interested in James Winston as a starter at all. Therefore he's likely to go somewhere as a backup where could he go as a backup and hopefully if you're in James Winston find a way to steal away a starting job from somebody else.

Maybe you could go to Jacksonville maybe you could go to Washington there aren't even that many very good options for a guy like James Winston as he tries to figure out what to do.

Andy Dalton still sitting around out there Jacobi Berset where and how are all of these NFL uncertainties going to to determine themselves will be following this all week in the event that something happens this week with these stories.

But those are the quarterbacks I would say that are worth paying the most attention to right now the other wild card in in the NFL obviously is what's the time frame and how will it be set up for the NFL draft we're now moving up on about a month until the NFL draft and I continue to believe that two is by far the most interesting player to follow in the entirety of the 2020 NFL

draft. Why because there are a lot of teams at the top of the draft board that have effectively let you know hey we're all in ongoing for a quarterback.

We know the Cincinnati Bengals likely to go ahead and go get Joe burrow. But then what happens beyond those decisions the Miami dolphins the tank for two campaign has been underway for over a year now.
