Hey, this is the moment. I'm Brian Coppelman. Thanks for listening. Today's guest is Bradley Tusk, whose name you might not know, but he has a really compelling book coming out called The Fixer.

And Bradley runs a company called Tusk Strategies.

He also runs a VC fund and also an organization designed to get people to be able to vote.

Foundation to get people to be able to vote in a more effective and easy manner, more people, disenfranchised people, everybody.

But before that he led a fascinating life, came up through the world of politics and ended up at the intersection of

politics and tech. You're going to hear about Rod Blagoevich a little bit and

because of 29 he was the deputy governor of Illinois.

Not Blagoevich, Blagoevich was the governor, but Bradley was the deputy governor and ran the state and accomplished a lot at

young age and hasn't slowed down at all. So Bradley thanks for being here.

I haven't had many pure business successes on the show.

Some bias of mind, I think because I grew up around that, I understand it in a way that I don't have as much

curiosity about it generally. Yeah.

But us, you know, the two of us met.

We have a lot of friends in common.

And then reading the book really did make me want to talk to you

because one, although we're engaged in the story because you do

a good job of bringing us into what you're thinking, you don't try to paint yourself as more

moral than your surroundings other than in the governor's mansion in Chicago.

In that scenario, your average human baseline was more more than the surrounding so I wasn't exceptional I was just average and everyone else was way below average.

Yes, but you don't spend a lot of time trying to say but in this situation I remembered the good of you you it's a

very pragmatic book yeah I tried to write just totally transparent honest book and
