I had the pleasure of chatting with Rose Gray in a recording studio over the summer.

I have been talking about her debut album, Louder, Please, all year long. And it was right before she

announced the Deluxe Edition was coming. And now that that's out as of this week, which, by the way,

get into it. We're finally going to put this interview out. I'm so excited for you to hear it.

I love Rose. I love chatting with her about the music, the songwriting behind the scenes, what

she's been doing, her touring. Really excited for her, and I hope you enjoy it. So without further

ado, here is a conversation with Rose Gray. Rose, it's so nice to meet you finally.

I've been yapping about you on the internet for at least the past year, if not longer.

In fact, longer because...

The past year, that means you were there for the EPs.

Yes, I was going to say, so I would get your singles on like release radar and things like that,

and they'd be on my playlist.

And then I finally put two and two together when the album was coming. And I was like, oh, I've been listening to you for a lot longer than I thought. That's mad, because most people that are discovering me, it's been since the album. I know, but no, I wrote down. I think the first one that I actually have on here that I put you on was happiness girls afraid nothing hiring the sun these were all like on my playlist already

but then things really clicked with the album obviously also before we start I would like to say

there's double Capricorn energy in the room capricorn oh wow january 5th

and you're new year's eve yeah what's it like to have a new year's eve birthday okay the older i'm

getting i'm embracing it more because i'm being selfish and not doing what all my friendship

group wants to do i'm doing what i want to do This is something I'm leaning into as well. Mm-hmm. And it's great because now if I want to party our party, I want to go to like a cottage in Ireland with my fiancee, I'll do that. I love that. I for the past few years have been going to Miami instead of staying up here in cold

because I'm like, I should be happy on my birthday and not, like, everyone's so tired after Christmas,

they don't want to deal with another gift-giving moment. Do you get joint, did you grow up getting joint

presents? I did. Yeah. Yeah. This just counts for everything, I guess. No, no, I want one for
