And the the Oh, There are a lot of reasons to fight. Not so honorable reasons like taking things or people by force for

personal gain or pleasure. Honorable reasons like stopping people from doing that, like know, defending your loved ones or your home or your friends, etc.

And even if you have wildly different values, like even if you think fighting is often a good thing actually, it's impossible to deny the destructive

nature of it. Perhaps the worst reason of all to fight someone though is because your parents and

their parents fought each other. And with no apparent end goal in mind at least not one that they've had enduring success at

That's why the Blackwoods and Brackens do what they do because they've always done it. They think they have

reasons but from the outside it kind of sort of looks like they just keep on

fighting each other because it's what they've always done like a tradition because

they don't even seem to have a great grasp on how it all started or why they're

fighting right so the whole point of it a song of ice and fire is full of cycles of violence

full past full, full in between, but no feud perhaps

emulates the pointlessness of revenge, of mutually assured destruction, of what might be otherwise decent people at their worst, then Bracken and Blackwood.

What makes them keep doing it? How much have they harmed themselves over the years, how much have they held each other back and themselves back,

and what are some of the standout moments of this feud over the eons?

How badly and how often has their feud spread as war often does to engulf other houses if not entire kingdoms?
