The first has to do with an article that we talked about in a recent editorial meeting.

Peter Wainer wrote an article in the

Atlantic about the evangelical church breaking up and sort of speculated on some of the causes

behind that. And this person wants to know to what extent we can agree with Wainer in the way he

blames the so-called culture wars for the evangelical fracture.

This person writes in,

the evangelical church is breaking apart,

argues that evangelicalism in the United States today has abandoned Jesus' teachings in favor of culture wars.

Yet Christians cannot escape the culture in which we live.

How does a Christian respond?

Is evangelism sufficient? Or is it

incomplete without also impacting every domain of society for God's glory? What principles should

guide the Christians seeking to faithfully love his neighbor and lead him to faith in Christ

while equally fighting for what is good and right in society? Yeah, Pete Wainer's article attracted a lot of attention.
