And we're here today to answer your questions. These are questions that were sparked by Breakpoint commentaries, short courses, articles, or columns that we posted

colsoncenter.org. John, today we've got a really interesting list of questions. This is

graduation time. My kids high school had their graduation this last weekend. And I'm finding out

how many kids are interested in the things that we do at Breakpoint. It's really fun to see them

spark up, be interested, engaged. They're seeing the world oftentimes, many times the same way,

or sometimes with different eyes than we see it. And we have a question

here from a 17-year-old in Louisiana who says that she loves listening to the Breakpoint podcast

and she appreciates the high value that we've placed on truth, logical consistency. She's just grateful

for the content. And she asks this question. As so much regarding abortion

unfolds in our country, I want to ask for your insight with respect to the position referred to as

incrementalism. She goes on to kind of explain what incrementalism is. Incrementalism, as she understands,

it is that many, if not most pro-lifers hold to encouraging

the peelback of abortion layer by layer or week by week rather than banning abortion outright

because that seems almost too drastic in her own words. She says the incrementalist, whether

knowing this or not, are the ones placing a 15 week or 12 week or 6 week restriction on abortion.

So she says, up until recently, I would have celebrated something like a ban on abortions past six weeks as a desired advance to the pro-life movement.

But my perspective has been radically shifted as the idea has been presented to me that any bill

that allows and in so doing supports the killing of innocent lives is an abomination before the

lord after all wouldn't that piece of legislation still draw the arbitrary line in the sand that says

somehow those babies after six weeks have personhood while the babies before six weeks do not.

Doesn't it still call one baby worthy of rights and protection and the other baby not based
