Hey all welcome to episode 288 of the podcast with my very first boy of summer for

2018 Tony Hale now I do feel like I need to acknowledge that this episode was recorded actually weeks ago.

It's something that I wanted to make sure I got done before I came to Atlanta.

So needless to say, it was recorded well, well before this sort of unfortunate New York Times

curfuffle with the Arrested Development press interview that raised some eyebrows and generated a tremendous

amount of talk among in the sort of in the journalism world and also in social media.

I just want to share with you the Tony that I have absolutely adored for many years

and say he's absolutely a terrific person and I just I couldn't feel better about

having him be the first boy of summer this year so I hope you enjoy a little

deeper dive into some very fun and goofy adolescent stuff with Tony.

And the other thing I want to say just quickly because it's on my mind because I'm about

to send off my vote by mail booklet for California as if that you are in an area that is looking at its primaries

I encourage you strongly to vote. This is a time in which I have a lot of anxiety about our democratic system and it's many many

flaws but I do I'm trying to lean into continuing to stay involved and I would just say all my listeners are so fabulous and I want to make

sure you're making your voices heard as we stumble through this particular current climate.
