Landry, and this is Moving Past Murder. When I was 11 years old on New Year's Eve, 1989, I awoke to the sound of two loud thuds.

I then heard 12 footsteps as they slowly walked down the hall, and something instinctively told me,

don't look up. The next morning when I woke up, I rushed to my mother's bedroom to find out that she was missing.

Instinctively, I was looking for bloodstains and things of that nature because I had feared the worst.

When I went downstairs and confronted my father, he said, well, mommy took a little vacation call here. Told me not to call the police, not to call the FBI,

that she would be back. They got a fight. She threw credit cards at him and her purse,

and that's what I had heard in the middle of the night. Wow. Really interesting. So he actually
