I'm Gianna Jalosi with your Fox True Crime Minute. A boyfriend's dying words leads to a vehicular homicide charge for his girlfriend. 22-year-old Daniel Waterman and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Leah Mumbie, were in a car crash in Flagler County, Florida, back on February 9th. Waterman was left with severe life-threatening injuries, including a spinal injury and trauma to his head and face and slipped into a coma. Mumbie told police she didn't know what happened.

But in May, Waterman was able to communicate with police officers and told them he had been arguing with Mumbie before the crash after she told him she was pregnant. Waterman also got a message from another woman and said Mumbie started to drive recklessly, speeding around 80 miles an hour and telling him, quote, I don't care what happens, you'll get what you deserve. And then intentionally slamming into a tree. Mumbie was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and reckless driving, causing serious bodily injury in July. Waterman died October 8th. And this week, an additional charge of vehicular homicide was filed against Mumbie. There's more on this story at Fox News.com or subscribe to the Fox True Crime Podcast.
