Summary

The story of the “Boy in the Box” was a tragic yet intriguing unsolved mystery that took place in the 1950’s. A young boy, not much older than 3-4 years, was found placed in a box and tossed on the side of the road. This young lad was carefully placed inside the box and left in the ditch of a country road in Philadelphia. Medical examination revealed that the cause of death was multiple blows to the head however a brown substance that coated the boys esophagus raises many questions. Despite almost 60 years of investigations the identity and story behind this boys death remains shrouded in mystery. Despite many theories, some more convincing than others, many of the investigators have died without knowing what really happened to this boy

The “Moving Coffins of Barbados” tells of a massive tomb built to house the bodies of the Chase family on the island of Barbados. This seemingly inexplicable story states that upon opening of the tomb the massive led caskets were found tossed about within the tomb without any explanation. Government officials became involved, inspected and sealed the tomb with additional layers of security but to no avail. Years later when the tomb was opened again, the coffins had been violently thrown about the inside of the tomb. Without any possible explanation, the bodies were exhumed and laid to rest in a separate location. What could possibly explain this? Could it be supernatural or possibly some sort of logical explanation exists? Perhaps we will never know, however it seems likely that this mystery could have been fabricated from the beginning. 0:41.1	So these are listener suggested episodes and they're both pretty interesting stories that we've both been doing a fair amount of research on pretty good mysteries.
0:52.0	Yeah, both I, they definitely have a lot of twist and turns and a lot of different theories, so excellent mysteries as far as I'm concerned.
1:01.0	The first mystery is called the Boy in the Box pretty well known
1:05.2	story. It's also called America's Unknown Child and it was really popular
1:10.3	investigation back in the 1950s and this was suggested by one of
1:16.7	our listeners Brailleo so this is a mystery that's still trying to get unraveled even to this day and it's been thoroughly
1:25.6	reported on by the media and at the time of the incident there were pretty much
1:30.8	flyers posted all over the place in Philadelphia where this occurred.
1:35.0	Again a very popular investigation and anyone in the area at the time was pretty
1:42.0	familiar with what was going on here.
1:45.0	And there are a fair amount of websites dedicated to trying to solve this mystery
1:51.0	and it takes place in the 1950s in Philadelphia
1:55.8	Pennsylvania and Susquehanna Road was a narrow little strip of country road that ran for about a half mile through a
2:05.8	wooded area in Philadelphia and it's here that the nude body of a young boy was found.
2:15.4	He's believed to be about four to six years old,
2:20.3	had blonde hair, blue eyes, and the boy was found wrapped in a flannel blanket lying face up in a cardboard box, only a few feet away from the side of the road.
